About the progress note
The progress note is the note written most often on an inpatient round: one per patient, per day, until discharge. It answers the same five questions every time, in the same order, so a reader flicking back through the stay can follow the trend without re-reading the whole chart. The shape below is the same one used in the worked example on the main template library page.
